Is a woman ever safe?

When a girl is in the womb, she is killed. And if she happens to come to life in this big bad world, she is raped…

All these years have been a tussle for the women, to fight for their rights. To prove themselves, both at office and home. Letting the patriarchal system know that they too are humans. But, as she steps out, she is judged by her looks, conduct, dressing sense, job profile, timings, lifestyle, relationships, friends and so on. Whereas, the boys are still quite an exception. Oh yes! that is also coz of a reason: because if a girl gets raped, it is because she was wrong in one or many ways mentioned above.

And so, women should not wear skimpy and revealing clothes, should not work after 8 (especially in areas where rapes occurred in this time slot). But now that no woman might be available after 8 pm, they might schedule the next rape at 6 or 7 or may be any time during the day when she is spotted at any place. (You see a rare species is always attractive and men are not taught much control since childhood, because they don’t have to marry and go away, and largely they are boys…men you see…)

But are women ever safe? Are all these laws really made for the safety of public or the criminals? Would this stop them from their misconduct? Does it not point out that weaker than women, it is our security and law system, which is at its weakest?

So to all my female friends, be responsible for your own safety. Carry swiss knives, pepper sprays, learn self-defense, shout scream, throw things or carry acid, seek help from your male friends (because not all of them are sick) or do whatever it takes to teach these lecherous mad men a lesson for a lifetime.
