back to the roots...

Once again the Navratre are here… Temples are elaborately decorated and all the more crowded. Markets are full of lal chunaris, fasting foods and giveaway packs, gifts for the little girls on the ashthami for kanjak.

From daily office routine and hectic drives to meetings, office and then home… A weekend back to the hometown is amazing. Pooja in the morning and evening with the family, singing the aarti together and savoring the prasada, feel like simple moments of bliss. Life gets busy and we get lost. But surrendering yourself to prayers, if nothing more, has an effect that of meditation. Being back home with your own people, offering the daily prayers and following the customs that you’ve been brought up with, strengthens your believes. Instills back the confidence that you wear out daily, struggling to do well in life…
… Lost in the pious sounds and chants of the prayers…you feel being ‘back to your roots’…
