It’s hard to put such thoughts at rest. By the time you
realize that you are thinking negative, you’d have already thought of numerous
things not gone well in your life. They have a snowball effect that makes you feel
low. Slowly and steadily you’ll sense your enthusiasm dripping. And it’s such a
chain reaction that you know not where to pull the string to disconnect.
Your actions and thoughts become restless and you gradually
keep sinking in this imaginable mess. It keeps sucking your energies. No work
goes as desired. Discontent begins to settle in at every moment. You forget
your positives; soon you need someone to remind you about your brownie points
in your life and personality.
All of it is not so interesting sight to see and sense. Nor
does it do any good. No one likes negative people. If you want to step out of
the mode, it is you who should come to your own rescue. So become aware. Nip it
in the bud and say STOP!
Think of a big stop sign. Distract yourself. Look into the
mirror and stare yourself hard telling your negative side to stay shut and dare
you. Once you know how to control this slithering monster, you’d be more
positive and yourself. Keep a check daily and master the art to stay positive!
