Life is an adventure.
Leading a plain life is no fun; in order to live it to the
fullest you need to have new dreams, goals, aspirations and zeal each day. A
worthy life has many challenges to encounter and a lot of lessons to learn, but
that can happen only if you see each day as a blessing and every moment as an
opportunity. A straight line of events make life boring but in order to
experience adventure you need to figure out ways in the maze of life.

Oh what a feisty week it was on our Facebook page. 'Kha-Peele-Tareef' Khana a week long 'Praise the Food' celebration that began on the 18th till the 26th of July.
We all love food and those who cook for us, do it with complete devotion. It isn't that easy to get everything from cleaning, chopping, sautéing, steaming/baking/cooking, to garnishing- absolutely perfect. And neither we take a second to comment on what's missing and what's not right. But, when it comes to praising, we often become stingy. Or probably that is one habit we've not inculcated.
But, whether you say it or not, a few phrases let the person who cooked know that you simply loved it. So we came up with 6 such 'praise-phrases' that our food lovers speak out automatically with the very first bite/morsel of that delicious delicacy cooked well.
So, all the awesome cooks, keep cooking great savouries.
And you food lovers, keep complimenting!

Poem vs SONG
Ask them to recite a poem and they’ll hesitate, but when you
ask them to sing their favourite song they won’t mind it rather would even
shake a leg and move their booty too. Toddlers today love entertainment already
and before song critics and reviewers rate them a hit, you can know it before
hand from these cute little kids.
Humpty dumpty, johnny and spider poems take a back seat viz
a viz latest bollywood item numbers. They are absolutely aware of the latest
steps and music of “chinta ta chita chita,
daaru desi, ante amalapuram, dhinka chika, dabang, character dheela,
chamakchalo, shiela ki jawani, munni badnam hui,” etc.
Wonder how many engineers, doctors, professors, etc. will
our country make, but it’s for sure that we have a lot of competition in film
industry coming soon!

Quit Arrogance…call it a movement if you want.
Some people take their arrogance to be a part of their
hotness. Money, power and beauty might put you on top of the world but don’t
let your common sense and humanity be suppressed under their weight. Start applying
your brains. Make right use of what you’ve been gifted. Govern your actions
with humility.

A song to hum...
Sometimes a song gets stuck in your head and you can’t stop
humming it. It strikes a note with emotional strings and begins to govern rhythm
in your acts. So whether you are drafting a report, cooking or travelling, you
simply want to play that song along. It feels so real and it sounds so you, a
song just made for you. Telling a saga of your sentiments and you keep playing
it in a loop.
Music certainly has its way of healing.

Manage your work smartly; attempt what excites you first.
Making a task list everyday is
a great tool of managing time, work and your energy. By having it in front of
you, know exactly what is to be done, can calculate an estimate time per task,
and can keep some buffer time for your breaks and distractions. A task list
helps you set target for the day.
However, there are those for
whom a task list does not work that well. They begin fretting that how on earth
can so much be done during a day. Or they get so anxious that to avoid more the
work of stress or more so the stress of looking at the list, knowing or
unknowingly begin to whiling away more work hours in things that can put them
at ease. Which makes it all the more tough for them to focus.
If you found yourself nodding
at any of the above, then you must address this problem right away. Instead of
fretting and avoiding, start taking your tasks one at a time. Not everybody is
great at multitasking. So once you have your to do list, just pick one task that
is high on priority or you feel you can manage easily. It’s exactly like
attempting your exams; you choose the section that you know you are best at.
This has 2 good reasons, one you end up attempting something you are good at
and two once you are in a groove your confidence goes up a few notches, pumping
up your capabilities to take up things that otherwise you felt were hard to
attempt.
So buck up, focus, choose and
attempt. Just believe in yourself that you can do it.

Watch out your temperament.
For every penny of money that you are earning, are you sure
you are not putting your values and manners at stake. You might hold a senior
position, but hope you are not forgetting to be humane.
Life today is so busy and challenging that none of us realize
that all we are choosing to do or to be has a high opportunity cost. You eat
out every day at the cost of your stomach (junk food you see isn’t that good
for your daily diet). You lose temper every now and then at the cost of your
health. You travel by your own vehicle at the cost of your fuel, car maintenance,
driving stress and even at the cost of nature.
But the most you sacrifice amongst all is your temperament
and good manners.
Lives today have no patience and no respect for other beings.
There is no sense of empathy left and everybody on the road is frustrated. People
today are so packed with irritation and anger that they burst out with foul
words much easily than 2 words of courtesy, gratitude or affection.
So there’s a need to watch out. What you are choosing and at
what cost? Is it worth the value that you are sacrificing? Are you or were you
the person that you act these days? Is it stress or you have changed for bad?
Watch out your thoughts and words. People around are human beings and everyone
is facing some crisis.
Learn to be human, before you begin to act like a brainless
bully.

The Joy of Gifting
Wrapped and tied with a ribbon, receiving a gift is always a
pleasure. The sight of it excites you and makes you feel thought of and loved.
But as we grow older this token of gratitude, appreciation
and expression of love seems to die down. Not that we abandon gifting, but we
don’t do it that often. We miss occasions, delay or sometimes think of it as a
liability or formality. Nowadays if you notice, even in the family gifting is
done out of compulsion and not out of joy to make the other person feel
special.
Yes it is expensive to buy anything these days and people
also expect much. But we can always manage a token of affection, a little something
for those whom we love and admire. When buying a gift, think of their
interests, choice and buy something of use. And you’ll experience joy and
immense satisfaction.
The joy of gifting or receiving a gift, both should be done
humbly. Psychologists say that gifting is a surprisingly complex and important
part of human behaviour and interaction. It strengthens bonds and helps in
sending out positive vibes. You don’t need an occasion to do so, just when yu
want to make someone’s day and there’s a lot that you wish to convey, go ahead and
say it with a gift. It could be a book if they love to read, a pen stand for
their desk, an accessory, perfume, etc., if you’d explore options are many.
So go ahead and begin spreading the joy of gifting.

Kick-start your day
Kick-start your day, you must to shed off the grip of laziness. Some do it with their cup of hot coffee and tea; some open their eyes to newspaper only. Yoga and exercise works for health mongers and a few get up to the music’s beat. Know what gives you the ignition to rise and get your engines roaring. Make your mornings brighter with a peppy embrace from your end too. Forget what happened in the past and be grateful for today. Get up and get going, it is time to kick start your day.
Wishing all a happy week with an awesome Monday!

Hanuman of Indian Showbizz on his Heavenly Abode…
Legends are people who
prove their brilliance in every move they make. They master perfection in their
forte, which is passion driven. They are proud of whom they are and do
everything in their individual style, becoming a brand name in themselves.
And one such legend who
left us on his heavenly abode was, Shri Dara Singh. A wrestler turned actor who
has won many laurels in wrestling championships, both at national and international
levels. In his career as a wrestler, Dara Singh ji has fought around 500
professional fights, all undefeated.
It is hard to find words
for this Rustam-e-Hind, watching whom all we kids would jump off the floor, raising
our fists up high in the air, would shout out loud with all our might-“Jai Shri Raaaaam”. Anyone who grew up watching Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana
would know and feel for his loss.
His tough appearance on the outside had
a soft heart inside, which was reflected in the characters he played. And the
people who’ve known him have drawn immense inspiration from him, both in real
and reel life.
While we move on, life
has taken away another star from earth and placed it in the sky. You shall be
remembered always. Jai Shri Ram!

And we’re back with a Monsoon Splash!
Yes we’ve been away for a while, but now we are back with
rains of respite.
So how have you been enjoying the monsoon lately???
Oh yes, you have work, you are in your office attire, your
whites will catch stain and what about those branded pair of shoes that costed
you couple of grand. And yes, an umbrella too is a style statement, that’s the
reason you shopped it the moment you spotted it online. If you don’t show it
off now, then when will you?
You see that’s the downside of growing up. We make all
elderly excuses of behaving maturely. Which is completely fine, but doesn’t it
make you feel tied and bounded?
If there’s a bleak yes, deep down inside trying to make itself
audible, acknowledge it. And when it rains on the weekends, get drenched. Feel
the raindrops on your skin. Let them pat you on your back and soothe you with
its caresses. Let the water drip from your hair, head, nose, elbows, fingers
and clothes. Splash some water with your foot. Pull out those waste papers and
float a few boats. Do all that makes you happy when it rains. Praise the skies
and embrace the love that they send you from far above.
